At the request of JenZee I've scanned in pictures from the excellent book "Tolkien's World: Paintings Of Middle-Earth". The book features several artists and many more paintings than I have scanned here (ranging into Tolkien's other Middle-Earth books too). However I have picked my favourites from the bunch which comes to a total of 27 images. Two of the artists, John Howe & Alan Lee, were hunted down and signed on as concept artists for the movies, which is why a lot of their work will look quite familiar.
