This
two piece set is good value for money, giving you two for one.
The ball is obviously a pretty basic toy. The two arms are fully
articulated, with a nice range of movement. The same goes for
the gun on top, which has full 360 degree rotation and tilts up
and down. The detailing on the whole toy is very nice indeed -
nicely coloured and covered in mecha stylings.
After the Alex I was at first a little disappointed
with the GM. However it is actually quite nice. Structurally it
is accurate and nicely done, retaining the 70s look without failing
to look cool. Like the Alex it's limbs all detach etc and the
single saber comes out of the backpack, though the backpack doesn't
come off. There are two verniers on the backpack that are detachable
and can be adjusted. The main posing flaw comes in the skirt armour.
It's one solid ring so the legs loose a lot of articulation. You
can still get some nice poses but there's no where near the range
available on the Alex. It comes with one lit saber, which is a
bit more rounded and simplistic than the Alex's, and it comes
with both the beam spray gun and the machine gun, which fit nicely
into the right hand (which incidentally only comes as a rifle
hand and doesn't hold the saber well, which the left does). There
is also a nice shield, which again has some holding problems but
does attach to the backpack. Overall a good pack but not model
kit standard or anything.
