Well physically this model looks incredibly imposing
and very detailed. The legs, whilst having some skirt movement,
don't seem to present much posing opportunity, sadly. It's all
very well coloured and everything you would expect is there -
opening chest panels, opening shoulder and back shoulder panels,
removable backpack with movable pieces that act as boosters and
can hold the gatlings. However this presents one major flaw. One
of the reasons for getting these MSiA toys is that they should
look very nice and yet not have the sense of fragility that a
model kit has. Well HAKai really isn't very robust at all. All
four shoulder panels fall off at any opportunity and as you can
imagine it can get a little unbalanced at times. Which brings
me to the gatlings. These annoyed me somewhat. I could cope with
a slight curve to one barrel but I expected them to slot nicely
onto the arms. Alas no. They require a lot of effort to get attached
and when they are they are never parallel to the arm. The gatlings
always come at a 20 or 30 degree angle inward toward the body.
Overall a very imposing looking model but not up to the standard
it should be.
